Leave
Leave rules that apply themselves.
Balances credit every month, probation staff get their own rules, comp-off is earned properly, and nobody can apply for leave on the days you've blocked.
What you get
Your leave policy, word for word.
Monthly credit
Leave is added on the 1st of every month, so balances are always right and nobody gets the full year on day one.
Probation and confirmed rules
One leave a month during probation, two after? Each group gets its own policy, and balances carry over when someone is confirmed.
Comp-off
Worked a designated Sunday or holiday? Employees request comp-off, managers approve, and the day lands in their balance.
Leave blocks
Block applications on the dates you can't spare people, like month-end closing, while managers can still approve emergencies.
Approvals by team
Every request goes to the right team lead or department head. No self-approvals.
Unpaid leave in payroll
Leave without pay and unapproved absences reduce salary automatically when payroll runs.
Also handled
Holidays, carry-forward and the year-end reset.
Your holiday list and weekly offs drive every leave calculation, so a leave across a Sunday or festival counts the way your policy says.
- Holiday lists by location
- Carry-forward and encashment, if your policy allows
- Leave calendar for each team
- Leave balance reports for HR and finance
Example policy, set up as written
- Probation: 1 paid leave a month, subject to approval
- Confirmed: 2 paid leaves a month
- No leave from the 25th to the 5th, except emergencies
- Comp-off for working a designated month-end Sunday
Send us your leave policy.
We'll show it running in Edge HR, balances and blocks included, before you commit to anything.
